Craftsmanship with vision: Wood workshop in Cologne
A third of our Building Bridges participants came together at the training campus of the Cologne Chamber of Crafts to share their craftsmanship in a wood workshop. The aim was to make a folding game board - a chess board on one side and a SheshBesh (backgammon) on the other! The workshop was accompanied by experienced trainers from the Chamber of Crafts, who not only imparted technical expertise, but also enthusiasm for intercultural exchange. Special thanks go to Hans Peter Wollseifer, former President of the Cologne Chamber of the Skilled Crafts and the German Central Association of the Skilled Crafts, whose support for Building Bridges helped to make this exchange a reality.
A special moment: the joint visit to the roofs of Cologne Cathedral. High above the city, the participants were treated to an impressive perspective - both literally and figuratively.
